President of Timor Leste reiterates support to Sahrawi people’s right of self-determination

Dili (Timor Leste) August 31, 2019 (SPS) - President of Timor Leste, Dr. Francisco Guterres, has reiterated the firm support to the Sahrawi people and their right to self-determination in speech on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the referendum of the self-determination of the Timorese people, delivered on Thursday at the reception in honor of the participating foreign delegations and diplomatic corps.

AWSA organizes a speaking tour in Australia “to talk about the plight of the last colony in Africa”

Sidney (Australia) 31 August 2019 (SPS)- Australia Western Sahara Association (AWSA) announced the prominent organization of a visit and speaking tour to various Australian cities for a young Saharawi activist, Ms. Tecber Ahmed Saleh, which will take place from the 2nd to the 27th September 2019.
The visit will be an opportunity to “talk about the plight of her country, Western Sahara - Africa's last colony”, AWSA declared in a press release issued on the occasion.

Brazilian Center for Health Studies (cebes) stands in solidarity with the Saharawi cause

Brazil, August 29, 2019 (SPS) - In a meeting with the representative of the Frente POLISARIO in Brazil, Emboirik Ahmed, the Brazilian Center for Health Studies of the Federal District, stands in solidarity with the Saharawi cause and acquires the commitment to cooperate with Saharawi health in refugee camps and in actions to spread the real situation of the health sector in external fields.
CEBES will work for other states to collaborate on a general project that, from Brazil, contributes to the improvement of health in refugee camps.

Saharawi President participates to the 7th TICAD Summit in Yokohama

Yokohama (Japan) 29 August 2019 (SPS)- The President of the Saharawi Republic, Brahim Ghali, participated on Wednesday and Thursday to the 7th TICAD Summit, organized in Yokohama, Japan.
The Summit was co-shared by the current Chairperson of the African Union, Egyptian President, Abdelfattah Sissi, and the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzō Abe, under the theme: “Advancing Africa's Development through People, Technology and Innovation”.

Polisario Front warns against “serious impact” of deadlock in peace process

Shaheed Al-Hafeed, August 24, 2019 (SPS) -The Polisario Front on Sunday warned against the danger of the deadlock in the peace process led by the United Nations (UN) and the African Union (AU) to decolonize Western Sahara.
Chaired by President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), Brahim Ghali, the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front held an extraordinary session on 21-23 August, during which the current situation at the national, regional and international levels was discussed.

Frente POLISARIO applauds African Union's persistent positions for decolonization of last African colony

Shaheed al-Hafeed, August 24, 2019 (SPS) - The Frente POLISARIO’s National Secretariat welcomed the African Union's constant stances on the need to complete the decolonization of the last African colony, calling for resolving the conflict between the two neighboring countries, which are members of the continental organization, the Sahrawi Republic and the Kingdom of Morocco, ensuring compliance with the Constitutive Act of the African Union, in particular respect for the borders inherited in the wake of independence and respect for the sovereignty of the member States.

Frente POLISARIO warns against danger of blockage to UN-AU settlement process, lack of interest of Security Council
