Nouakchott, June 30, 2018 (SPS) – Upon his arrival at Oumtounsy International Airport in the Mauritanian Capital, Nouakchott, the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, held separate talks, on Saturday at the presidential wing at the airport, with Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdelaziz,.
The talks, which later included members of the two delegations, discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and African integration.

El Aaiun (occupied territories), June 30, 2018 (SPS) - The Association for the Monitoring of the Natural Resources and for the Environment Protection in Western Sahara (AMREPNWS) held Friday a meeting with UN Secretary General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara, Horst Koehler, at MINURSO headquarters in the occupied city of El Aaiun, in the presence of the UN Secretary General’s Special Representative for Western Sahara, Head of MINURSO, Colin Stewart.

El Aaiún (occupied territories), June 30, 2018 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Association of Victims of Grave Human Rights Violations Committed by the Moroccan State (ASVDH), held Friday a meeting UN Secretary General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara, Horst Köhler, at the headquarters of MINURSO in El Aaiún, the occupied capital of Western Sahara.
The meeting was attended by ASVDH members of the Executive Bureau, and Colin Stewart, UN Secretary General’s Special Representative for Western Sahara, Head of MINURSO, according to ASVDH statement.

El Aaiún (occupied territories), June 30, 2018 (SPS) - Representatives of the Collective of Saharawi Human Rights Defenders (CODESA) held Friday a meeting with UN Secretary General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara, Horst Köhler, in the presence of Colin Stewart, UN Secretary General’s Special Representative for Western Sahara, Head of MINURSO, according to a CODESA press release.

Nouakchott, June 29, 2018 (SPS) - The issue of Western Sahara will be included, for the first time, as “a special and separate item” from the other issues on the agenda of the 31st African Union Summit, said Friday, in Nouakchott, Sahrawi Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Salem Ould Salek.

Occupied Aaiun, June 28, 2018 (SPS) -The UN Secretary-General's Personal Envoy to the Western Sahara, Horst Koehler, has arrived to the  occupied city of El Aaiun on Thursday as part of a tour to the region.
According to Sahrawi human rights sources, Mr. Kohler arrived to the occupied city of El Aaiun on UN plane, amid an army and police deployment in uniform, a civilian and police intelligence personnel in all the streets of El Aaiun.

Chahid El Hafed (Sahrawi Refugee Camps), June 28, 2018 (SPS) - Sahrawi President, Secretary General of the Frente POLISAIO Brahim Gali affirmed Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Sahrawi Presidency in Chahid El Hafedh, that his talks with the United Nations Secretary General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara Horst Kohler were “honest” concerning the implementation of the recommendation of the Security Council made in April 2018.

June 27, 2018 (SPS) -The Head of the Sahrawi negotiating delegation, Khatri Aduh said Tuesday that the Frente POLISARIO backs the efforts of Horst Kohler and the United Nations to allow the Sahrawi people exercise their right to self-determination and independence.

Algiers,  June 27, 2018 (SPS) - Speaker of the People’s National Assembly Said Bouhadja reiterated Monday, Algeria’s consistent position vis-à-vis the just cause of Western Sahara and the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination, stressing that the Algerian Parliament, as a model of solidarity with the Sahrawi cause, has supported this issue which falls within the framework of “decolonization.”

Brussels, June 27, 2018 (SPS) - The Frente POLISARIO rejected categorically the proposals of the European Commission aimed at extending the EU-Morocco association agreement to include Western Sahara, said Monday Sahrawi Delegate Minister for Europe Mohamed Sidati.

Chahid El Hafed, June 26, 2018 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr. Brahim Gali, received Tuesday at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic the Personal Envoy of the Secretary General of the UN for Western Sahara, Mr. Horst Kohler, who is on a tour to the region to relaunch the process of negotiations between the two parties to the conflict, the frente POLISARIO and Morocco.

Saharwi lecturer has addressed the legal and historical background of the Western Sahara issue, its position in international law, as issue of decolonization and the last colony on the African continent.

Bir Lahlou(Liberated Territory), June 26 ,2018 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO Mr. Brahim Gali, has sent a congratulatory message to  Mr. Ivan Doki, on his election as President of the Republic of Colombia in the elections held on the 17th of this month.
In his congratulatory letter, President Gali said, "I wish you, the government and the people of Colombia over the next four years a further prosperity and development that we all expect under your wise guidance."

Barcelona, June 25, 2018 (SPS) – The first groups of Sahrawi children started to arrive on Sunday in Catalonia, Spain, in the framework of Vacations in Peace Program.
The Sahrawi children were received at the El Prat airport, Barcelona, by representatives of the Catalan associations in solidarity with the Saharawi people and members of the Polisario Front Delegation in Catalonia, who ac will company them to the different municipalities, where they will be welcomed by Catalan families.

Paris (France), June 24, 2018 (SPS) – The International Network of Parliamentarians for the Self-Determination of Western Sahara, which held its first meeting on Friday at the headquarters of the French National Assembly in Paris, called on parliamentarians and governments to strongly mobilize for the holding of a self-determination referendum in Western Sahara.

Brussels, June 23, 2018 (SPS) - Members of the Committee on International Trade (INTA) at the European Parliament denounced Thursday the European Commission's proposal to amend EU-Morocco association agreement to include products from Western Sahara, considering it inconsistent with the ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) delivered in December 2016.

Brussels, June 23, 2018 (SPS) – Sahrawi minister, delegate for Europe Mohamed Sidati on Thursday reiterated the Polisario Front rejection of the European Commission’s proposal of modifying the protocols n 4 and n 1 to the EU-Morocco Association Agreement to include Western Sahara products.
"As the legitimate representative of Western Sahara people, recognized by the UN, the Polisario Front strongly rejects the proposal," he wrote in a letter to members of the European Parliament’s International Trade Committee (INTA).

Paris, June 21, 2018 (SPS) - Invited by the Study Group on Western Sahara, chaired by French deputy Jean-Paul Lecoq, the French National Assembly will host the first Parliamentary Network Conference on Friday International for the Support of the Referendum in Western Sahara, which springs from the recommendations of the 42nd EUCOCO meeting.

Chahid El Hafed, June 20, 2018 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr. Brahim Gali, has received the President of the African Union Commission (AU), Mr. Moussa Faki, at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic.
The talks broached the mission entrusted to the President of the African Union Commission by the last African Union summit, as well as issues of common interest at the African and international level.
