Prime Minister receives Spanish parliamentary delegation of intergroup in support for Saharawi people

Bir Lehlu (Liberated Territories), March 11, 2018 (SPS) - Prime Minister Mohamed Alouali Akeik on Saturday received a Spanish parliamentary delegation of the intergroup in support the Sahrawi people, in the locality of Bir Lehlou in the SADR liberated territories.
The Prime Minister informed the delegation of the latest developments of the Saharawi issue and victories achieved at national, regional and international levels, including the recent decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union.

Bir-Lehlou (Liberated Territories), March 10, 2018 (SPS) – President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, has urged the African Union (AU) to call upon the European Union (EU) member states to put into effect the ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) regarding the partnership agreement in the fisheries sector (the Fisheries Agreement) concluded between the European Union and Morocco in 2006.

Algiers, March 08, 2018 (SPS) -Member of the Frente POLISARIO National Secretariat and Sahrawi coordinator with the Minurso M’hamed Khadad said Wednesday that Morocco was “afraid of negotiation” to settle the Western Sahara conflict and underlined “a lack of willingness” to engage in the UN-backed process.

Settlement of Western Sahara conflict: Kohler meets with Moroccan delegation in Lisbon

Lisbon, March 07, 2018 (SPS) -  The Personal Envoy of the UN General Secretary for Western Sahara Horst Kohler has met on Tuesday in Lisbon a Moroccan delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Nasser Bourita, announced the Moroccan Foreign Ministry on his tweeter account.
"The meeting should continue all day, followed by a working dinner," added the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international cooperation.

Tantan (South of Morocco) 5 March 2018 - Sahrawi masses organised Sunday a solidarity platform to mark the 10th anniversary of the arrest of Sahrawi human rights activist Yahya Mohamed Al-Hafed Izzah at his family home in Tantan, southern Morocco.
The platform witnessed the arrival of sympathizers from the occupied territories, southern Morocco and the university sites, who declared their support for the Saharawi political detainee and their solidarity with his family, and demanded the Moroccan state to immediately release him and all Sahrawi political prisoners.

Geneva, March 02, 2018 (SPS) – Algeria has renewed on Wednesday in Geneva during the 37th session of Human Rights Council, call for integrating a Human Rights section in the UN Mission for referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO). It has also called for sending regular missions of the UN High Commission Office in the Sahrawi occupied territories.

Sidati calls, in Geneva, international community to support peace process in Western Sahara

Geneva, March 02, 2018 (SPS) - Sahrawi Minister delegate for Europe Mohamed Sidati called Wednesday, in Geneva, the international community to “support UN peace process and respect the international law concerning Western Sahara.”
Speaking in a conference at the headquarters of the United Nation Human Rights Council, Sidati said that “the international humanitarian law is clear on Western Sahara, the Moroccan occupation is illegal and the exploitation of our natural resources is the biggest threat for peace,”
