Algiers, March 31, 2018 (SPS) - President of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and Secretary General of the Polisario Front Brahim Ghali on Friday, in Algiers, said it is unacceptable that the United Nations, which is directly responsible for the conflict zone in Western Sahara, is "absent" from protecting and monitoring human rights, welcoming Algeria's support to the Saharawi people's and their right to self-determination.

Algiers, March 31, 2018 (SPS) -The 6th International Conference on Peoples' Right to Resistance opened Friday in Algiers, in the presence of President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and Secretary General of the Polisario Front Brahim Ghali, and 100 participants from 53 countries.

Brussels, March 31, 2018 (SPS) - Sahrawi Minister for Europe Mohamed Sidati on Thursday has alerted, once again, the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini, to the serious situation of Sahrawi human rights activists in the occupied Western Sahara.

"We reiterate the alert we launched on 15 March 2018 in a letter to Mogherini," Sidati told APS.

Pretori, March 29, 2018 (SPS) -  The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Hon Lindiwe Sisulu, and Hon Bulahi Sid, Minister of Cooperation of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), signed on Thursday, 29 March 2018, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Technical Assistance and the Exchange of Notes on Humanitarian Assistance to the Western Saharawi refugee camps.

Chahid El Hafed, March 28, 2018 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr. Brahim Gali, has oversaw a meeting of the Council of Ministers to examine several issues.

The meeting will discussed various topics: amending some laws, the annual schedule of the government's tour and a report on the visit of foreign delegations.

Shaheed Al-Hafed, March 25, 2018 (SPS) - Prime Minister Mohamed Al-Wali Akeik received on Friday the delegation of the Italian region of Emilia Romana, which comprised parliamentarians, mayors, councilors and trade unionists.

The Prime Minister briefed the delegation on the political developments and achievements gained in the diplomatic field, and expressed thanks to them and to the Italian people for their continued support for the Sahara issue.

Washington, March 25, 2018 (SPS) - United Nations Secretary General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara Horst Kohler met in Washington with Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Near East Affairs David Satterfield with whom he held discussions on prospects of settlement of conflict in Western Sahara.

The discussions were held as part of the broadened consultations initiated by the German mediator to relaunch UN process, in deadlock since 2012.

London (United Kingdom), March 24, 2018 (SPS) - UK government has reiterated support to Saharawi People's self-determination and a just political solution to Western Sahara conflict, based on United Nations' principles and resolutions.
