SPS SADR/LEBANON/SOLIDARITY The Saharawi Government condemns the Qana slaughter
|
Bir Lahlu, 31/07/2006 (SPS) The Government of the Saharawi Arab
Democratic Republic condemned on Monday the slaughter perpetrated last Sunday
morning by Israel against the village of Qana, in the south of Lebanon, killing
dozens innocent victims, of whom the majority is composed of children, according
to a press release publicised by the Saharawi Ministry of Information, of which
SPS received a copy.
The Saharawi Government considers that the "use of the violence and the policy
of the colonial fait accompli through the occupation of the territories,
slaughter and terror against the helpless citizens are contradictory with
morals, laws and customs of humanity and against the international legality".
Therefore, the Saharawi Government "expresses its solidarity with the Lebanese
people in this tragedy because of the slaughter perpetrated by the Israeli
forces against the village of Qana and the support in its struggle for the
defence of its independence and territorial sovereignty", the text underlined.
The Saharawi Government also expressed "its solidarity with the Palestinian
people, who faces the aggressions perpetrated by the Israeli forces, urging for
an urgent enablement of this people o exercise their right to self-determination
and to have their independent State".
The Saharawi Government finally called on the international community to put an
end to these aggressions against the two brotherly peoples, Lebanese and
Palestinian. (SPS)
