SPS SOUTH OF MOROCCO/POLITICAL PRISONERS/JUDGEMENT New postponement of the trials of five Saharawi political prisoners in Inzegan 28.07.05

Agadir (South of Morocco), 28/07/2006 (SPS) The trials of five Saharawi
political prisoners, detained in the Moroccan prison of Inzegan, which will have
place last Thursday, was postponed anew by the Moroccan colonial court of appeal
of Agadir to the next September the 19th because of the absence of
witnesses, according to concordant source.
The five Saharawi political prisoners were arrested last April and are still in
custody in the Moroccan prison of Inzegan without any judgment, it was
indicated.
The prisoners are: Najiaa Lbachir, El Khorchi Wissi, Lmansouri Driss, Tamek
Mohamed, Kajout Brahim. (SPS)

SPS OCCUPIED TERRITORIES/ABDUCTION Five Saharawi citizens abducted by police in the occupied city Smara

Smara (occupied territories), 28/07/2006 (SPS) Five young Saharawis were
abducted Wednesday evening by agents of the Moroccan security disguised in
civilians, and were conducted to a police station in the occupied city of Smara,
eyewitnesses reported.
The young Saharawis: Bahloul Mohamed, Cikhi Mahfoudh, Lehmami Brahim, Boudnani
Saleh and Farahni Lehbib, were "submitted to interrogatories and savage tortures
by the agents of the Moroccan forces of repression", the same sources indicated.
The families of the five citizens, supported by hundreds Saharawis, gathered in
front of the police station asking for the "unconditional" release of their
sons.
The Moroccan police was "forced to release the Saharawi detainees in a
deplorable state after because of the torture and ill-treatment the victims
underwent" for more than 4 hours, the same sources said. (SPS)
