El Aaiun (occupied capital of SADR),
24/07/2005 (SPS) Moroccan colonial authorities expelled, this Sunday
from El Aaiun’s airport, an 8 international delegation, composed of
parliamentarians and representatives of the civil society besides two
journalists from Canary Islands, reported SPS’s correspondent on the
ground.
Composed of 6 persons, the delegation was forbidden from getting off
the plane, of Binter Company in Las Palmas, which brought them from Las
Palmas to the capital of Western Sahara.
A 7th delegation, from the Basque, was expelled from El Aaiun, in July
the 13th, after the failure of an hour negotiations with Moroccan
colonial authorities inside the plane they came in from Las Palmas to
the capital of Western Sahara occupied capital, it should be recalled.
Composed of about thirty representatives of Basque autonomous
Government, Parliament, local elected, representatives of Mayoralties
and human rights activists as well as journalists, the delegation was
planning to investigate on the human rights’ situation, which is
largely violated since the starting of the intifada of independence
last May the 21s in Western Sahara
A 6th delegation, composed of parliamentarians and representatives of
the civil society of Aragon, was not allowed by Moroccan authorities to
visit the occupied capital of Western Sahara, El Aaiun in July the 7th.
It was planning to investigate on the human rights situation widely
abused by Moroccan colonial forces, reported Spanish Press agencies.
Last July the 5th another 5th delegation, this time from Norway,
chaired by the President of the RAFTO Foundation, Arne Lynngård,
and composed of 4 other members, is about to be expelled from the
occupied Capital of Western Sahara, El Aaiun, by the Moroccan
authorities of occupation, their translator, Saharawi human rights
activist, Latif Allal was arrested, tortured for hours before been
released the next day.
In June the 26th, a 4th delegation, composed of Andalusan
parliamentarians and representatives of civil society was expulsed
Sunday from the El Aaiun’s airport by the Moroccan colonial
authorities, who denied it the entry to the territory.
"It seems that they have something to hide", a local official from
Madrid said, who was one of the members of a delegation composed of
parliamentarians from Madrid Moroccan authorities expulsed last June
the 5th (the 1st delegation).
A second delegation composed of Catalonian Parliament members basically
was expelled to Canary Islands last June the 8, the members of the
delegation were not allowed to get off their plane, while another
delegation from Asturias was expulsed last June the 19th (3rd
delegation),it should be recalled.
Since the 21st of May, violent confrontations between Moroccan forces
of repression and Saharawi people, who were claiming for the respect of
human rights and their rights to self-determination and independence.
The confrontations resulted in dozens injured people, prisoners and
disappeared in El Aaiun, Smara, Boujador, Dajla (Western Sahara) or in
Rabat, Marrakech, Agadir, Casablanca (Morocco), it should be recalled.
