protection of the civil citizens in occupied territories

Dakhla (occupied territories),
23/03/2005 (SPS) The Committee Against Torture in Dakhla called the
international community and the International Committee against Torture
to intervene near Morocco so as to protect Saharawi citizens in
occupied zones and to pressure Morocco respect Human Rights in this
same occupied territories.
IN a press release, of which SPS received a copy, the Committee
denounced "the policy of repression, torture and imprisonment" Moroccan
Government perpetrates against Saharawi citizens, giving as an example
the arbitrary imprisonment of a group of persons in the "secret cells",
of the PCMI, in a moment Rabat "pretends having turned the page of the
terrible past through the body, of the so-called, Fairness and
Reconciliation".
The communiqué quotes the recent "arbitrary" arrest of 7 persons
in El Aaiun. These persons have been submitted to "torture and
interrogatories before been registered and released after two days".
