SPS The President of the Republic participates to he ceremony of investiture of the new Bolivian President, Evo Morales 23.01.06

La Paz (Bolivia), 23/01/2006 (SPS) The President of the Republic, Mohamed Abdelaziz, participated on Sunday at the seat of the Bolivian Parliament to the ceremony of investiture of the newly elected President of Bolivia, Evo Morales, with the presence of many Heads of States, Governments and foreign delegations, indicated a source from the Saharawi presidential delegation.
The act of transfer of power between the two Bolivian Presidents, the former and the new, respectively Edouardo Rodriguez Belice, and Evo Morales, took place in a plenary session that gathered the members of the two chambers of the Parliament with the presence of the foreign delegations.
The ceremony designated the vice-President, Alvaro Garcia Linira, to read the oath and chair the act, the same source added.
On his side, the new Bolivian President, Evo Morales, repeated the oath and gave a long speech on the policy of his Government for the newt five years to come, which will be characterised by "the renovation and complete reform", he said.
At the end of this ceremony, the newly elected Bolivian President, Evo Morales, consecrated a war, reception on the honour of the Heads of States, Governments and delegations that took part to the ceremony of his investiture.
This reception was an opportunity for the Saharawi President, Mohamed Abdelaziz, to congratulate President, Evo Morales, and his vice-President, Alvaro Garcia Linira.
Mr. Abdelaziz, also had meetings and contacts with his counterparts, participating to the ceremony. He briefed all of them on the last developments in Western Sahara and on the policy of repression exercised by Morocco against the Saharawi citizens who are waging a peaceful resistance in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, south of Morocco and at the level of Saharawi students in the Moroccan universities, it was indicated.
The participation of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic, being the only Spanish speaking Arab country is "a particular participation", according to the interlocutors of the Saharawi President, who highly appreciated this gesture.
The Saharawi presidential delegation is composed of the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, Saharawi Ambassador to Venezuela, Haj Ahmed Barek Allah, and the Councillor to the President, Mr. Aabdati Breika, it should be recalled. (SPS)

SPS The President of the Republic will visit Galicia next week to establish bilateral relations of Cooperation

Santiago de Compostela, 23/01/06 (SPS) The President of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic, Mohamed Abdelaziz, will visit the Spanish region of Galicia, next week to establish bilateral relations of cooperation in the political and humanitarian domains with the regional Government of Galicia, reported Spanish Pres Agency, Europa Press.
Mohamed Abdelaziz will be received by the President of the Spanish region, Emilio Pérez Touriño, his vice-President, Anexo Quintana and six Counsellors. The Saharawi leader will be accompanied with the Minister of Cooperation, Salek Baba Hassana, the Minister of Justice, Hamada Salma, the Governor of Dakhla, Salem Lebsir, and Polisario Front’s Delegate to Spain, Brahim Gali in addition to other Saharawi personalities.
On her part, Polisario Front’s Representative to Galicia, Mrs. Fatma Mohamed Salem, stressed, in a statement to Europa Press that "the objective from the visit of the Saharawi President is to establish bilateral relations of cooperation, at the political and humanitarian levels, between Galicia and the Saharawi Republic", adding that "Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz will also give a briefing on the last developments in the Saharawi territories under Moroccan occupation".
During his sojourn in Galicia, the President of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic, Mohamed Abdelaziz, will meet with the President of the Galician Parliament, Mrs. Dolores Villarino, the President of the Galician Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijoo and the Representative of the EU-IU and the Galeguista Party. He will also receive the Golden Medal of the Federation of Businessmen Luso-galaicos.
Mrs. Fatma Mohamed Salem qualified this visit as "historical", underlining that it will be "very important" and of "a great signification" for the Saharawis, whose political representatives will be received by the Government of Galicia as well as by the different social and political components of the community.
On another hand, the Saharawi Representative underlined the great collaboration the Saharawi people are receiving from the community of Galicia, the different associations of the community, as well as the Federation of Galician Municipalities and Provinces (FEGAMP).
