Chahid EL Hafed, 22/05/2004 (SPS) The President of the Movement of Society for Peace (MSP, in French),Abou Jara Soultani in a visit of solidarity with Saharawi people, was received on Saturday at the Presidency, by Mohamed Abdelaziz, President of the Republic.

The reception took place with the presence of many members of Saharawi political leadership and members of the leadership of the Algerian Party and some Algerian Parliament members.

In his official visit to the refugees' camps and to the liberated territories of the SADR, Mr. Soultani is expected to attend, Saturday, a popular meeting in the Wilaya of Smara before been received by the President of the Republic for lunch.

Member of the actual coalition in power, Mr. Soultani's party supported President Bouteflika during the presidential elections last April side by side with the FLN and RND. (SPS)

The President of the MSP attends a popular meeting in the Wilaya of Smara

Smara (refugees' camps), 22/05/2004 (SPS) The President of the Movement of Society for Peace (MSP, in French), Abou Jara Soultani, attended a popular meeting organised by the President of Saharawi Parliament, Mahfoud Ali Beiba, on Saturday in Smara, to which many members of Saharawi political leadership took part.

"I am charged to hand you over a message of consideration and respect that Algerian people feel towards the resistance, abnegation and faith in the fair Saharawi cause", underlined Mr. Soultani during this meeting.

"The people who suffered the tragedies of colonialism, like Algerian people did, deeply understand the amount of hardships of the peoples who are sufferings these same experience now", he added.

The President of Parliament, on his part, thanked his Algerian guest for the support of his country to Saharawi people's inalienable right to self-determination and to independence.

"We had always relied on Algerian initial position in favour of international legality and of the right to decolonisation of the oppressed peoples and countries", said Mr. Ali Beiba.

"Your visit like other Algerian officials visits who visited us before, in particular the President of the Algerian Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, prove that Algeria supports the Saharawi cause, faithful as it has always been to its history, Martyrs, dignity ant to its principles of support to the peoples for freedom and independence", he stressed.

Moreover, Mr. Soultani proceeded to the beginning of the edification of a new school, school "Mahfoud Nahnah", the late founder of the MSP, in the daira of M'Heiriz (a neighbourhood in the wilaya of Smara). (SPS)

MSP's President: We will always back you till the liberation of your country

Chahid EL hafed, 22/05/2004 (SPS) The President of the Movement of Society for Peace (MSP, in French), Abou Jara Soultanie, affirmed that his party and Algeria will continue supporting the legitimate struggle of Saharawi people for freedom and independence, considering that Saharawi people had established the needed structures to guarantee the national liberation struggle.

"We will always back you until the liberation of this noble land and the implementation of the State you long for", underlined Mr. Soultani during a luncheon President of the Republic, Mohamed Abdelaziz, organised on his honour at the Presidency.

Mr. Soultani who had visited the refugees camps before in 1996 settled a comparison between the conditions then and the progress Saharawi people had so far realised.

this respect, he expressed his admiration of "Saharawi people's resistance in two levels, the military front and the hardships of surviving in conditions of complete destitution ", noting that "this struggle was easily handed over to the new generation" .

"After exactly eight years, I come now to reaffirm that the normal, fundamental and lasting position of the MSP is the same as the Algerian official position ", he stressed.

In his visit to the refugee's camps and liberated territories, Mr. Soultani took part to an important popular meeting organised on his honour in the Wilaya of Smara and he also visited some social institutions. (SPS)
