(SPS) The IRCC repatriated this January the 22 two Moroccan Prisoners
Of War (POWs), Lahmadi Ahmed and Badaoui Miloud, who were released the
same day for humanitarian reasons by Polisario Front, indicated an
official source.
"Another humanitarian gesture that is added to previous ones of the
same kind and which led so far to the unilateral release of more than
one thousand Moroccan POWs", recalled a source from the Ministry for
Foreign Affairs.
The same source deplored that Morocco, "still continue to maintain the
fate of more than 100 Saharawi fighters and more than 500 reported
missing under complete secret".
"The tragedy Saharawi and Moroccan peoples are living is resulted from
the irresponsible attitude of Morocco and its king, who still rejects
to subscribe to the Peace Plan of the former USA Secretary of State,
James Baker, unanimously voted by the Security Council in its
resolution 1495 of July 2003", recalled the same source. (SPS)
