abuses in Dajla

Dajla, 16/05/2005 (SPS) The
Committee against torture in Dajla denounced, in a press released
publicised on Monday, "The policy of repression, torture and arbitrary
arrests", perpetrated by the Moroccan authorities of occupation in this
country, the second big city after El Aaiun, the Capital of Western
Sahara.
Giving the names of 4 persons recently arrested after they have
participated to a sit-in in front of the seat of the Moroccan colonial
administration in Dajla, the Committee indicated that the victims were
"savagely tortured" by the police for 4 days before been released.
IN another hand, a Saharawi citizen, Mohamed Lemine Kentawi, was
arrested in Tan Tan (South Morocco) by the police, hastily driven
before court and sentenced 2 years imprisonment for having participated
to activities celebrating the 32nd anniversary of the armed struggle in
Western Sahara (20 May 1973). (SPS)

Tifariti (liberated territories),
16/05/2005 (SPS) Polisario Front prepares to celebrate, this May the
20, the 32nd anniversary of the armed struggle against the Spanish
colonialism at the first hand and the Moroccan after its military
invasion and annexation of the Saharawi territory.
The city of Tifariti is getting ready to receive hundreds of foreign
guests who will come to show their solidarity with the Saharawi people.
Liberated in March 1979, Tifariti raises the flags of the countries
which recognised SADR, while the buildings newly constructed after the
bombing o the city by the Moroccan air forces few days after the
cease-fire (September 1991). It is completely prepared to receive about
one thousand guests according to the organizers.
Expected for this Saturday evening in Tifariti, the guests are planning
to organise an international demonstration in the sector of Bir Lehlu
(South East) in front of the wall of shame, which was erected by
Morocco since 1980 to part the territory and its population in two
parts.
The demonstrators plan to denounce this Moroccan military wall already
qualified as "a crime against humanity", by others who compared it to
the wall of Berlin.
