They reiterated their "attachment to a just, prompt and lasting settlement to the question of Western Sahara, conforming with the international legality, in which peoples’ right to self-governance finds its full expression thanks to the organisation of free and regular referendum".

They also called on the UN’s Security Council to "work for the acceptance and enforcement of the UN’s Peace Plan for the self-determination of the people of Western Sahara, Baker Plan, and the resolution 1495, unanimously adopted by the members of the Council last July the 31st 2003".

The participants to the meeting and the members of the Committee called ion the international community to "continue supporting the Saharawi cause as a question of decolonisation, and to mobilise in favour of the self-determination for the Saharawi people", and addressed an appeal to humanitarian organisms to "intensify their help and assistance in favour of Saharawi refugees".

The Committee also expressed its "deep anxiety" and "concern about the human rights’ violations in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, aimed at suppressing Saharawi people’s aspiration to exercise their legitimate right to self-determination".

They deplored "the negative and obstructionist attitude of the Moroccan colonial authorities, which is keeping with its repressive campaigns of systematic arrests and abductions of all those who sympathise with the Polisario Front in the occupied territories, despite the international communities appeals".
