SPS SADR/USA/VISIT Congressmen call for
self-determination to Saharawi people

American Congressmen : Tom Tancredo, Joe Pitts and Peter Hoekstra,
called to the respect of Saharawi people right to self-determination,
putting forward the patience of Saharawis despite the lack of progress
in the implementation of the UN decisions and highly considering its
efforts in favour of democracy and peace.
On another hand, Democrat Senator, Edward Kennedy, who always shows a
concern for the resolution of Western Sahara conflict reaffirmed his
admiration for Saharawi people, during his meeting with the Head of the
Saharawi State, Mohamed Abdelaziz.
The Senator also expressed his engagement to pay efforts so as the UN
realise its mission of peace in Western Sahara by granting Saharawi
people their legitimate rights.
On his part, the President of the Saharawi Republic informed his
interlocutors on the last developments of the Saharawi cause. He
focussed on the blockage Morocco puts in front of the UN peace process,
especially the Baker Plan which was unanimously supported by the
Security Council in its resolution 1495.
In the evening, the friends of the Saharawi people organised a
reception on the honour of President Mohamed Abdelaziz, SPS
