The President of the Republic expresses his condolences to the Spanish victims of the 11 March

Chahid El Hafed, 11/03/2005 (SPS) "It is a day of mourning to us, in which we express our deepest condolences to the victims of terrorism that stroked innocent persons last March 11 in Madrid with a barbarous hand", declared the President of the Republic, Mohamed Abdelaziz, during a reception ha offered to a delegation of representatives of Andalusian institutions supporting Saharawi people.

"IN this sad anniversary", the Head of the State wishes to "share with the Spanish peoples their sadness" and observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims, to which he invited the representatives of these different institutions chaired by the President of the Federation of the Association of the Friends of Saharawi People (FAADAS-Sahara), Paco Guerrero.

On his part, Mr. Guerrero renewed "the commitment and solidarity of all Andalusia until Saharawi people are allowed to exercise their right to self-determination and independence".

Until that day, Mr. Guerrero declared to be committed on behalf of the institutions and associations he chairs to "ameliorate the quality of life of the Saharawi people until its return in glory to its liberated country". (SPS)

Six injuries 4 arrests in the confrontations between Saharawis and Moroccan forces in Tan Tan






Tan Tan (south Morocco), 11/03/2005 (SPS) " Six injuries 4 arrests", were mentioned as a result to the confrontations last Thursday between Moroccan police and Saharawi unemployed graduates in Tan Tan, reported a press release of the association of graduates SPS received.

To protest against their marginalisation of the employment offers and to ask for their right to work the unemployed organises, for more than three months, periodical sit-ins in front of the seat of the local administration of the city, it was indicated.
 
Among the injured sources named some mothers of the unemployed young people, who participated to the sit-in to back their sons, such as Fatma, Salka Lemahad and Yehdiha, while three unemployed graduates were injured, to name Boun Aje Mohamed, Bouchalga Lehbib and Naffa El Amrati, indicated the press release.

On another hand, the police arrested four unemployed graduates: Sbabou Abderrahmane, Sbabou Ahmed, Zouen Khalifa and Lamaijine Mouloud, ended the press release. (SPS)

Germany supports UN's efforts to resolve Western Sahara conflict





Berlin, 11/03/2005 (SPS) The Government of Germany affirmed its support to "all efforts of the UN in the search for a peaceful solution to the conflict including the mission of the MINURSO", said the Secretary of State to the German ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Kerstin Mueller.

Answering a written question by the Parliament member, Siegfried Helias, of the conservative Parliament group CDU/CSU, Mrs. Mueller underlined that the Federal Government "continues, as before, supporting all UN's efforts aiming at searching a peaceful solution to the conflict based on all Security Council adopted resolutions on the conflict".

She also added her country will "continue its commitment especially in the humanitarian field", read the text, of which SPS received a copy. (SPS)
