SPS SADR/MAURITANIA The Special Envoy of the
President of the Republic received by the Mauritanian President in
Nouakchott

Nouakchott, 10/11/2004 (SPS) The
Minister of Occupied Territories and Communities, El Khalil Sid
M'Hamed, was received Wednesday in audience at the Presidential Palace
in Nouakchott by the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania,
Maaouya Ould Sid'Ahmed Taya, indicated the Mauritanian official press
agency, AMI, on its web site.
Bearer of a message from the President of the Republic, Mohamed
Abdelaziz, to his Mauritanian counterpart, the Special Envoy declared
to the press after his audience with President Ould Taya that the
message "is concerned with the relations of brotherhood, friendship and
solidarity between the two Heads of States, the two Governments and
peoples, Saharawi and Mauritanian", as well as "the situation in the
region and the last developments of the peace process in Western
Sahara", underlined the same source.
The audience took place with the presence of the Counsellor to the
Mauritanian Presidency, Deddoud Ould Abdallahi, it was indicated (SPS)
SPS SADR/MOZAMBIQUE The new Saharawi Ambassador,
Adda Hmeim, presents his letters of credit to the Mozambican President

new Saharawi Ambassador, Adda Hmeim, recently presented to the
Mozambican President, Joaquim Alberto Chissano, his letters of credit
as an extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Saharawi Arab
Democratic Republic to the Mozambique, reported an official source.
The Saharawi Ambassador informed the Mozambican President on "the
evolution of the UN peace process in Western Sahara, putting forward
the obstacles erected by Morocco to hinder any just and definitive
solution that would allow Saharawi people to freely express their will
through a referendum on self-determination", added the source.
On his part, President Chissano expressed his best wishes to the
Saharawi people and their President, Mohamed Abdelaziz, reiterating
"the support of his country to the efforts deployed by the UN so as
Saharawi people can recover their independence and their territorial
integrity", it was indicated.
The meeting was attended by the person in charge of the Saharawi
Embassy in Maputo, Mr. Dih Mokhtar Daf, and on the Mozambican part, the
vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, the General Secretary of the
Presidency, the Director of the Department of North Africa and the
Middle East besides other close collaborators of the Mozambican
President.
Before this meeting the Saharawi Ambassador was received in audience by
the vice Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, to whom he
handed over copies of his letters of credit as an extraordinary and
plenipotentiary ambassador of the SADR to the Mozambique. (SPS)
