Chahid El Hafed, 10/10/2005 (SPS) Saharawi Government alerted about the danger of death that threats hundreds illegal immigrants, who are transported by Rabat from the North of Morocco in convoys to be expulsed through the Moroccan military wall that parts the Western Sahara, and are let to their fate in the desert facing a certain death.
"The Saharawi Government draw the attention on a possible genocides against illegal immigrants, Africans in their majority, and who are transported in successive waves from the North of Morocco in a shameless intention to expulse them in the desert of Western Sahara without any consideration to the threat on their lives or to the most fundamental principles of human rights", denounced a written statement publicised Monday by the Saharawi Ministry for information.
"It is incontestable that the clandestine immigration is illegal, but that does not mean that there is a law that allow their humiliation and condemnation to death", the text underlined, estimating that the international must "exercise pressures on Morocco so as to put an end to its misdeeds and prevent Western Sahara from been a cemetery for innocent human beings".
To the Saharawi Government "these persons must beneficiate from the dignity the universal human rights declaration grants them and be repatriated to their countries in decent and humane conditions via adequate means of transports rather than getting rid of them as if they are not human beings".
In total, according to Spanish NGO "SOS-Racismo" some 2 400 African immigrant, were abandoned in the middle of the desert by the Moroccan forces since the end of last week. Last Sunday, only 1000 among them were localised, it should be recalled. (SPS)
