|
Washington D.C, 08/07/2006 (SPS) The US Council for Human Rights, the
Canadian Centre for Human Rights and the Coalition for Dignity and Freedom
(Madrid) condemned, last week, the "serious human rights violations committed by
Morocco against the Moroccan Islamist movement of El Adl Walihsan (Justice and
charity), according to information publicised
on the website of the organisation.
This movement, the most popular in Morocco, which legitimacy is recognised by
Rabat and which is recognised for its peaceful policy, is suffering since its
creation brutal campaigns of repression by the Moroccan authorities.
In this respect, the Moroccan Government started "a dangerous increasing
offensive" against the movement by waves of arrests that reached more than 3.000
of its militants, men, women and kids in addition to the devastation of families
residencies, closure of the movements centres and censorship against its
websites inside the country.
The three human rights organisations denounced in their press releases, "the
human rights violations perpetrated by the Moroccan State" and expressed their
"unconditional support to the movement El Adl Walihsan", an invited human rights
organisations an activists to intervene so as to "put an end to these repressive
acts exercised by the Moroccan authorities". (SPS)
