the Republic received by the Malian President Toumani Touré

Bamako, 06/11/2004 (SPS) The
President of the Republic's Envoy, Khalil Sidi M’Hamed, was received
Friday in Bamako by the Malian President, Amadou Toumani Touré.
Carrying a message from President Abdelaziz to his Malian counterpart,
Mr. Khalil declared to SPS via telephone that the message tackle "the
last development of the Saharawi question on the light of the last
Security Council's resolution, which insisted on the necessity of a
settlement of the conflict on the basis of a referendum on
self-determination for the Saharawi people, conforming to the doctrine
of the UN on decolonisation".
Attended by the Malian Minister for Foreign Affairs, the meeting took
place "in an atmosphere of brotherhood", said Mr. Khalil qualifying it
as "positive". (SPS)
