SADR embassy attends Nicaragua’s Independence Day celebration

Managua, Sept 15, 2013 (SPS) - Ambassador of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) Mr. Suleiman Tieb Henàn took part Saturday in the ceremonies marking the 192nd anniversary of the independence of the Central-American country of Nicaragua, observed annually on September 15th, at the invitation of the Nicaraguan government, according to a press release issued by Saharawi embassy in Managua.


Saharawi ambassador conveyed to the sisterly government of Nicaragua the felicitations of the Saharawi Government and its President Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz.


The main event took place at the Plaza de la Independencia (Independence Square), chaired by His Excellency Mr. Daniel Ortega Saavedra, President of the Republic of Nicaragua.


Nicaragua along with other Central American countries like Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala celebrated with parades and other civic events the anniversary of their independence from the Spanish Crown, 15 September 1821. (SPS)
