El Aaiun (occupied territories), Sept 20, 2013 (SPS) - A delegation representing the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) arrived Wednesday in the occupied city of El Aaiun, capital of Western Sahara, in an exploratory visit to the occupied and liberated territories of Western Sahara, as well as the Saharawi refugee camps.
IUSY delegation, which includes members of the Saharawi Youth Union (UESARIO), is headed by Mr. Mousa Selma, Secretary General of UESARIO.
The delegation expected to arrive Saturday evening in the Saharawi refugee camps.
UESARIO International Secretary Mr. Mahfud Salama, also member of IUSY delegation, said that this visit will brief the IUSY on the reality of the Saharawis under Moroccan occupation and the siege, repression and oppression they suffer.
It will also, he added, allow them to assess at first hand the situation in the Saharawi refugee camps. (SPS)
