Saharawi delegation takes part in several workshops of the World Social Forum

Mexico City (Mexico), 04, May 2022 (SPS) - The delegation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) participating in the World Social Forum 2022, which hosts the Mexican capital, Mexico City, has been present at several workshops organized as part of the Forum activities.
In the aforementioned workshops, the members of the Saharawi delegation made presentations and interventions on the legitimate struggle of the Saharawi people, highlighting the workshop on the self-determination of the peoples under the title "Western Sahara, Palestine and the Kurdish Question", in which the Responsible for Foreign Affairs of the UGSARIO, Mr. Al-Mami Abeid, explained in detail the experience of the Saharawi people in the struggle to achieve their legitimate rights, in particular, the right to self-determination.
In another workshop under the title "Self-determination and Freedom of Peoples", the members of the Saharawi delegation stressed that "the Saharawi people are an example of the struggle for self-determination and a model of resistance to achieve their rights by all means. politicians, diplomats and even military.
In a communication workshop held by the Norwegian delegation participating in the forum, members of the Association of Relatives of Saharawi Prisoners and Disappeared (AFAPREDESA), made presentations on the Saharawi experience that directly faces the challenges of the fight against the Moroccan occupation, emphasizing the consequences of exile that include living in the diaspora, compulsory asylum and fragmentation, which despite their difficulties, have not deprived the Saharawi people of laying the foundations for solid social cohesion, a high level of training and a great capacity for humanitarian management”.
