Shahid Hafed, 20 November 2021 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, has condemned the Moroccan regime's attempts to create a new reality of tension and anarchy, aimed at facilitating shameless foreign intervention in the region, in order to serve colonial agents.
In his opening address during his supervision, on Friday, of the 5th ordinary session of the Polisario Front national secretariat, President Brahim Ghali condemned the "cowardly terrorist operations" carried out by the Moroccan occupation state against defenseless Sahrawi, Algerian and Mauritanian civilian citizens.
Highlighting the solidity of fraternal and neighbourly relations between the Sahrawi Republic and the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, the Sahrawi president expressed his esteem and recognition for the principled position of Algeria, its people and government, under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, alongside the Sahrawi people.
He also welcomed all the friends and allies around the world", as well as the commitment of the African Union (AU) to the principles of its Constitutive Act, while highlighting the positions expressed by several countries, such as the Republic of South Africa.
In this context, the Sahrawi president reaffirmed that the Sahrawi people, who will always advocate a just and lasting peace, has already decided and taken its sovereign decision to intensify its just war of liberation, with all legal means, at the head of which is the armed struggle, until the completion of the sovereignty of the Sahrawi Republic over all its national territory.
Ghali stressed that any move at the UN level that does not aim at completing the agreed settlement, by implementing the task of the UN Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO), "will be a shameful circumvention of the joint commitment, a conspiracy and a failure not only for the peace-loving Sahrawi people, but also with regard to international legality in general.
The secretary general of the Polisario Front hailed "with pride and esteem" the fighters of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA), as well as the rise, in recent times, of the heroic militancy of the Sahrawi people on the front of the occupied territory and in southern Morocco, and this, despite the multiplication by the Moroccan occupation state of its brutal repression.
