Bir Lahlou (Liberated Territories), 7 November 2021 (SPS) - The President of Republic, supreme leader of the armed forces, Brahim Ghali vowed Saturday to inflict "bitter defeats" on the Moroccan occupation army, affirming that the Sahrawi army "is well trained and fully operational".
In his speech at the handover ceremony to the Chief of Staff of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA), Mohamed Al-Wali Akik, the Sahrawi president promised to inflict "bitter defeats" on the Moroccan occupation army.
Mr. Ghali indicated that "the occupation army will once again undergo the bitterness of the defeats suffered during the last war waged against the SPLA and which lasted 16 years", stressing that the Sahrawi army is well trained and fully operational to confront the enemy and inflict heavy losses on it."
The Sahrawi president also reiterated his condemnation of the Moroccan attack that targeted the three Algerian nationals, after the bombing of their trucks on the Nouakchott-Ouargla axis, stressing that this assassination "proves the malice of the Moroccan regime and the extent of its hostility and its allies not only towards the Saharawi people but also against the peoples of the region".
