Occupied Dakhla, Oct 19, 2021 (SPS) - The Saharawi Oil and Mining authority, denounced the signature by Morocco, represented by the Moroccan National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM), of a agreement with the Israeli oil company Ratio Petroleum to explore the Atlantic bloc of the occupied city of Dakhla.
"This agreement represents a new stage in the series of economic crimes perpetrated by Morocco in the occupied Sahrawi territories," said a statement from the said NGO.
It recalls the legal status of Western Sahara as a territory awaiting decolonization, illegally occupied by Morocco.
"This agreement has no legal value as Morocco has no sovereignty over Western Sahara, as affirmed by the International Court of Justice in its advisory opinion of 1975 and reiterated by the Court of Justice of European Union (CJEU) in 2016 and 2018 and recently by the General Court of the European Union on September 29, "she assured.SPS
