Bir Lahlou, 18 October 2021 (SPS) - Units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) launched intensive attacks targeting the Moroccan occupation forces' entrenchment in the sectors of Al-Mahbas, Al-Farsiah, Al-Bakari and Um Adreka, according to military communiqué No. 340 of the Ministry of National Defense.
The communiqué stated that "advanced detachments of SPLA shelled the occupation soldiers in the area of Umaytir Mukhainza, specifically the headquarters of the 43rd Legion in Al-Mahbas sector."
It added that "other detachments focused their attacks on the entrenchments of the occupation soldiers at the 16th base in the area of Rus Oudayat Shadida, in the Farsiah sector, while other detachments targeted the occupation soldiers' concentrations at the 02 base in the Um Dukan area in the Bakari sector."
The communiqué indicated that "advanced detachments of SPLA targeted base 02 in the Al-Aydiat area in the El-Kalta sector, where plumes of smoke were seen rising from the targeted base."
Meanwhile, advanced units of SPLA focused their attacks on soldiers and entrenchments of the occupation in the Tawajeel area in the Um Adreka sector, the communiqué added.
The communiqué affirmed that "the attacks of the Sahrawi army continue on the entrenchments of the Moroccan enemy forces along the wall of humiliation and shame, leaving losses in lives and equipment."
