Algiers, June 03, 2021 (SPS) -President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defence Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Wednesday affirmed that the appearance of the Sahrawi President Brahim Gali before a Spanich court “proves that the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) is a State under the rule of law.”
“Our visit is a duty. Your appearance before a Spanish court proved to the world that the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) is a State under the rule of law,” stated President Tebboune who was sitting at the bedside of the Sahrawi president to inquire about his health state at Mohamed-Seghir-Nekkache de Ain Naadja Hospital in Algiers, accompanied by Lieutenant General Said Chanegriha, Chief of the Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP).
“Compliance with law and the decisions of justice is the quality of activists and revolutionaries. The Sahrawis, who claim justice, can never evade it,” stressed the Head of State.
Algeria, which has relentlessly supported just causes since its independence, is committed to its stance on the Sahrawi issue, he continued.
President Tebboune seized this opportunity to thank the Spanish authorities for their efforts, hospitality and the “very delicate” care he was given.
At the end of their visit, the Head of State and Major General Chanegriha wished a prompt recovery to the Sahrawi president.
Gali expressed his gratitude to President Tebboune and affirmed he is currently in good physical and moral conditions in Algeria.
My state of health “has improved significantly,” he continued.
As for his appearance before a Spanish court, Gali said that “we are militants wherever we are and in all circumstances. Justice is one of the pillars of our struggle and Algeria will always be dignified and proud.” SPS
