Speaking at the official ceremony marking the 45th anniversary of SADR proclamation today, President Gali said that the establishment of the Saharawi Republic on 27 February 1976 was a dream and source of pride for the Saharawis in an entity that safeguards their rights, reflects their hopes to live in dignity and translates into a reality their aspirations to achieve a better future for their generations.
President Gali seized this opportunity to pay tribute to the martyrs of the heroic Saharawi people, notably of which the founding leader El-Uali Mastafa Sayid and the late president Mohamed Abdelaziz.
He, moreover, commended the level of national unity has long been demonstrated by the Saharawis against colonial plots and intrigues aimed at hindering the national project within the framework of the Popular for the Liberation of Saguia El Hamra and Rio de Oro (Polisario Front).
The Saharawi President went on saying that the Saharawi Republic, which was established amid a malevolent colonial scramble, has steadily marched on the road of taking its rightful regional and international place, as to establishing its executive, legislative and judicial institutions and bodies.
