New SADR ambassador presents his credentials to the President of South Africa

Pretoria, South Africa, Nov 19th, 2020 (SPS) - The new ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Mr. Mohamed Yeslem Beissat has presented his credentials on Thursday as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sahrawi Republic to the Republic of South Africa to His Excellency Mr. President Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa.
During the meeting with President Ramaphosa, the new Saharawi ambassador recalled the historical relations that united the African liberation movements during the battle and the liberation struggle, in particular the outstanding relations between the African National Congress (ANC) and the Frente POLISARIO.
The Saharawi diplomat said: "It is a great honour and privilege for me to represent my country, the Sahrawi Republic, to your well-respected country, the great and wonderful Republic of South Africa. It is also gratifying for me personally as I return to my second home in which I had the pleasure to serve for many years."
Mohamed Yeslem has also conveyed to President Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa the greetings and best wishes of H.E. Mr. Brahim Ghali, President of the Sahrawi Republic, assuring on behalf of him, SADR´s strong resolve to further strengthen relations and to boost them to the highest possible level of political, economic and strategic partnership and cooperation in the interest of our peoples and future generations, and for our beloved Continent your brother SPS
