Sahrawi Republic takes parts in UA permanent representatives meeting on the fight against corruption

Kigali (Rwanda), Oct 09, 2019 (SPS) - The Saharawi Republic participated in the joint meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the African Union and the Advisory Council of the AU for the fight against corruption that was held on the 7th and October 8, 2019, in the capital of Rwanda, Kigali.
The meeting attended by delegations representing the Permanent Missions of the UA Member States, officials of the African Commission and experts in the fight against corruption, the Saharawi Republic was represented by the First Secretary of the Saharawi Embassy in Ethiopia and in the African Union, Mr. Mohamed Omar.
The meeting discussed the progress of the work of the Advisory Council of the AU for the fight against corruption, especially related to the strengthening of the legal framework for the fight against corruption and the consolidation of the capacities of the member states in this field.
Discussions focused on communication and cooperation activities between the Member States and the African Commission through the Consultative Council for the fight against corruption and the relevant national institutions. SPS
