Saharawi Embassy in Panama celebrates SADR 43rd Proclamation Anniversary

Panama, March 12, 2019 (SPS) -.The Saharawi Embassy in Panama organized this March 9 in Colon, the second most important city in the country, a series of activities marking the 43rd Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.
The Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy, ​​Omar Hassena, spoke on the history and reality of the Sahrawi conflict, highlighting the importance of the role that Panama has played in supporting the respect of International Legality in Western Sahara. In this regard, he has urged the different components of Panama civil society to accompany the Saharawi people in their struggle for their legitimate aspirations.
During the ceremony attended by representatives of various local social and political movements and members of the Saharawi Community, a video documentary was screened to display the situation of Human Rights in the occupied areas and the humanitarian drama that implies the existence of the wall of the shame that divides the national territory.SPS
