Chahid El Hafed (Saharwi Refuhee Camps), Feb 06, 2019 (SPS) -. The national channel TVRASD has condemned the mistreatment of his  correspondent in the Occupied Territories (OOTT), Hammoud al-Laili while he  tried to cover the development of a peaceful sit-in in the occupied part of Western Sahara.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the Saharawi national channel condemns the serious violations of Human Rights, in particular the veto of free expression and the media blockade imposed by the Moroccan authorities on the territory.
The TVRASD correspondent was subject  to assault, and confiscation of his two cameras with which he had the intention of documenting the demonstration and was transferred to a police station where he was subjected to harassment and interrogation that lasted more than four hours.
"Before such deals and cowardly aggression, the national television of the Saharawi Republic strongly condemns this atrocious and unjust act against its correspondents who work in a noble and sincere way to bring down the media blockade imposed by the Moroccan occupation in the Occupied Areas of Western Sahara, "says the TVRASD statement.
It should be recalled that on Monday, February 4, Moroccan forces of repression brutally dispersed a peaceful sit-in of Saharawi demonstrators in the occupied city of El Aaiún. The violent aggression of the police forces of the occupation caused several victims among the demonstrators who demanded the end of the siege and the blockade imposed in the occupied Sahrawi cities.SPS
