Submitted on

New York, January 12,  2019 (SPS) – Spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary-General, Stephane Dujarric, has refuted Morocco's allegations against the Polisario Front of violating the ceasefire in the Guerguerat region.
In response Friday to a question by a journalist about the message received by the United Nations on those Moroccan allegations, Stephane Dujarric confirmed that the MINURSO mission was present in both cases alleged by Morocco and did not notice anything that could constitute a violation under the provisions of the existing conventions.
It should be recalled that on Sunday, the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army conducted a military drill in the northern sector of the liberated Amhereez region, for combat training and testing the readiness of the military units.
The Polisario Front also demolished its last stockpile of landmines as expression of goodwill and in compliance with its commitment to the Geneva Appeal signed in November 2005. (SPS)
