PSOE receives a Saharawi delegation to deal mutual interest matters

Madrid, October 3, 2018 (SPS) - The Delegate of the Frente POLISARIO in Spain Jira Bulahe, met with the Secretary of International Relations of the PSOE, Héctor Gómez, to discuss the current situation of the Saharawi people and issues of mutual interest.
The meeting held at the seat of the ruling party served to express the will to promote cooperation and collaboration in different areas.
Héctor Gómez pointed out that this meeting is part of the strategy of the Spanish Socialist Workers Party, PSOE, to "recover Spain's position in international politics."
Jira Bulahe broached her interlocutor on  the Saharawi situation after the intense work of the UN General Assembly and the efforts of the former German President, Horst Kohler, to unblock the peace process through the revival of negotiations between the parties, Frente POLISARIO and the Kingdom of Morocco.
Recalling also that Spain continues to be the administering power of the last colony in Africa, Bulahe urged the current PSOE government to take courageous steps, in accordance with the demands of Spanish civil society, to end the conflict through compliance with international legality and respect for the right of self-determination of the Saharawi people.
The meeting were attended by  Abidin Bachraya, delegate of the Frente POLISARIO for the Community of Madrid.
