Bouhadja reiterates Algeria’s consistent position in favor of Western Sahara’s just cause

Algiers,  June 27, 2018 (SPS) - Speaker of the People’s National Assembly Said Bouhadja reiterated Monday, Algeria’s consistent position vis-à-vis the just cause of Western Sahara and the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination, stressing that the Algerian Parliament, as a model of solidarity with the Sahrawi cause, has supported this issue which falls within the framework of “decolonization.”
In a meeting with a delegation of the Sahrawi Republic, chaired by the deputy-chairman of the Sahrawi National Council on the occasion of the opening of the 5th training devoted to deputies and top officials of the Sahrawi Council and the central Authorities of the Sahrawi State, Bouhadja reiterated “Algeria’s consistent position vis-à-vis the just Sahrawi Cause and the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination.”
In this regard, he said that the Algerian Parliament, as a model of solidarity with the Sahrawi cause, has supported this issue which falls within the framework of the decolonization, in accordance with the resolutions of the Security Council and the Charter of the United Nations.” 
Bouhadja broached the measures to support the Sahrawi cause as part of the institution building process of the Sahrawi State, activation of the cooperation and solidarity as part of the parliamentary diplomacy and the action of the Algerian-Sahrawi parliamentary friendship commission.
The meeting was marked by the presence of Sahrawi ambassador, deputy-speaker of the People’s National Assembly Mohamed Messaoudja and the head of the Algerian-Sahrawi parliamentary friendship commission Said Bounab.SPS
