Brussels (Belgium), Jan 09, 2018 (SPS) - the Delegate Minister for Europe, Mohamed Sidati, appealed Tuesday to the European Union to work to support the process of resolving the conflict in the Sahara Western led by the United Nations. "
The Saharawi diplomat highlighted that the visit of the Personal Envoy of the Secretary General of the United Nations for Western Sahara, Horst Kohler, is an opportunity for the EU to change its policy towards the Western Sahara to play  a "constructive role"
Mohamed Sidati said that "unfortunately, the EU has not demonstrated its political will to resolve the conflict and continues to provide support for the Moroccan occupation", which is reflected in the permissiveness of the plundering of Morocco of the Sahrawi natural resources, by violating the European Court of Justice ruling of 2016.
On the other hand, the high representative of the foreign policy of the EU, Federica Mohgerini, expressed the will of the European bloc to support the efforts of the United Nations to resolve the conflict in Western Sahara. SPS
