Submitted on

Sao Paolo (Brazil), Nov 02, 2017 (SPS) - the World Peace Council, condemned on Tuesday, via a communiqué, the expulsion of several MEPs from occupied Western Sahara by Morocco.
"We reject in the most severe terms the decision of the Moroccan authorities to expel United Left MEPs on Friday, October 27, preventing their visit to Western Sahara," says the statement of the World Peace Council, before clarifying that "the Kingdom of Morocco often seeks to prevent access to the occupied territory militarily to journalists, activists and parliamentarians, "who want to know the situation in the territory.
"The attempt of the Kingdom of Morocco to silence those who denounce the arbitrariness and brutality of the occupation it exercises over the Saharawi people will not succeed", said the note.
Finally, the World Peace Council reaffirms its commitment to supporting the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence. SPS
