Italian Londa municipality and its Sahrawi countrapart Legüera signs a twinning agreement

Londa (Italy), August 09, 2017 (SPS) - The Italian town of Londa and the Sahrawi Daire Legüera, belonging to Auserd, sign a twinning agreement to strengthen relations between the two peoples, according to to SPS source from Italy.
The memorandum signed by the mayor of the Italian town and representative of Legüera, includes the implementation of humanitarian projects, aimed at strengthening educational, sanitary and agricultural facilities, as well as the exchange of experiences and visits between both municipalities.
The mayor of Londa expressed his admiration of the peaceful resistance of the Saharawi people saying that "the agreement seeks to help Sahrawis who have fought for their legitimate rights for decades" and added that "their struggle inspires the struggles for rights Human and democratic values ​​in the world. "And he appealed for support and "political and humanitarian solidarity with the Saharawi people," condemning the cruel and unjust sentences against the prisoners of Gdeim Izik.
For her part, the representative of Legüera, who reflected the contribution of women in the Sahrawi struggle, conveyed the appreciation of the Sahrawi people and considered that the agreement represents a lot for the residents of Legüera. SPS
