El-Aaiun (Occupied Territories), August 5, 2017 (SPS) - The Moroccan forces intervened violently against Sahrawi protestors in Al-Mustaqbal neighborhood in the occupied city of El-Aaiun, resulting in a number of serious injuries among the protesters, according to a Sahrawi human rights source.
The Moroccan authorities also intervened violently against the family of Sahrawi citizen Dida Ould Al-Yazid after the family organized a peaceful sit-in in Al-Mustaqbal neighborhood in the occupied city of El-Aaiun. Members of the family were injured after their sit-in tent was demolished. Father Dida Al-Yazid and his daughter were transferred to hospital.
The family had organized a sit-in in front of their house to protest against arbitrary measures committed by the Moroccan authorities against them on the background of their political positions in favor of self-determination of the Saharawi people, added the source (SPS)
