Morocco’s drumming to join AU is to conceal its failure (Sahrawi Coordinator with MINURSO)

Shaheed El-Hafed, Jan 9, 2017 (SPS) - Sahrawi Coordinator with MINURSO Emhamed Khaddad has confirmed that the drumming and propaganda of Morocco to join the African Union including the visits of its king to some African countries were to hide its concessions and failure, trying to pass them to the internal opinion as if they were victories.
The Coordinator with MINURSO highlighted in an interview with the national TV that the Malabo joint summit between the African Union and the Arab League constituted a strong shock to Morocco of which it pulled out.
The Sahrawi official pointed out that the African Union was determined as it demonstrated in Malabo that the principles, laws and foundations of the African Union be respected, the first of which are the borders inherited from colonialism, and if Morocco wants to join the Union it must respect its internationally recognized boundaries.
The Moroccan expansion is tragedy for the region's stability and security and has prevented the peoples of the region from building the Maghreb unity and the economic and security cooperation, he said.
Mr. Khadad indicated that the latest United Nations report on drugs in the world, confirmed that Morocco is the first producer and exporter of cannabis, and it is obvious that drugs smuggled in the region and used by terrorism come from Morocco.
He confirmed that significant gains were achieved during the year 2016, at the internal, diplomatic and military levels, such as the decision of the European Court and European cessation of dealings with Morocco in the looting of the Saharawi people's wealth as well as the advocating against all governments and companies involved in the plunder of Sahrawi natural resources.
