Lisbon, Dec 5, 2016 (SPS) - A Saharawi delegation led by the representative of the Polisario Front in Portugal Ahmed Fal Emhamed participated in the 20th Congress of the Portuguese Communist Party, held December 2-4, in the city of Almada, Portugal.
The Congress was attended by delegates from more than 70 countries representing their political parties and organizations.
Delegates will have to adopt at the end of the Congress resolutions reaffirming their support and solidarity with the peoples fighting for liberation and independence, including the Saharawi people.
The delegation of the Polisario Front held several meetings, on the sidelines of the Congress, including with member of the Political Committee of the Portuguese Communist Party, Patricia Machado, members of the Party leadership, and foreign delegations, focused on the struggle of the Saharawi people.
