Boujdour, Dec. 3, 2016 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, stressed that the continent has given a historical lesson to the world during the Malabo Summit where African countries reiterated their commitment to the constitutive act of the AU and its principles.
"The African continent, in addition to the adoption of the Sahrawi question as a sacred African cause, also gave a history lesson to the world in Malabo. Africa rose as one man, not only against plots and sneaky methods of the Moroccan state, but also in support of rightness, justice and law", said the President of the Republic.
He indicated that "Africa has decided to be in harmony with itself and has categorically rejected any violation of the charter and the principles and decisions of the African Union.
"It defended the right of the SADR, a full and founding member of the AU, expressing its attachment to the unity of this continental organization and its coherence in spite of all the pressures, threats and incentives of certain kingdoms of the Arab Gulf, "he added.
The AU reiterated its conviction that the independence of Africa remains incomplete as long as the people of the Saharawi Republic have not enjoyed their inalienable right to self-determination and independence, he recalled. (SPS)
