Colombian Senate expresses its support for the Saharawi cause

Bogota, March 30, 2016 (SPS) .- The President of the Colombian Congress on Tuesday expressed support for the Saharawi cause and the resolutions adopted by the Congress on the subject during a reception of an important Saharawi delegation, according to press release of Saharawi Representative in Colombia
 
The President of the Colombian Congress, Mr. Luis Fernando Velasco Chavez received Tuesday at the Congress of Colombia an important delegation composed of Mrs. Suelma Beiruk Vice President of the African Parliament, the Saharawi Minister delegate for Latin America and the Caribbean, Omar Mansur and Saharawi ambassador to Mokhtar Labuehi
The meeting was an occasion to review the important decisions taken both by the African Parliament, and by the Congress of Colombia in support of self-determination of the Saharawi people.
The vice president, Ms Suelma Beiruk expressed her thanks to President Velasco for the invitation to the international conference on the Sahara organized by the African Parliament extending her greetings and congratulations of the President of the African Parliament Dr. Roger Nkodo Dang.
The Saharawi Minister conveyed greetings and congratulations on behalf of Mr. Khatri Aduh, President of the Saharawi National Council and gave an overview of the historical relations between the two states from recognizing on February 27, 1985 until today, reiterating his gratitude for the celebration of an international conference on Western Sahara scheduled for Wednesday.SPS
