Japanese delegation expelled from occupied city of El Aaiun

El Aaiun (occupied territories), Dec 30, 2017 (SPS) - Moroccan authorities on Friday expelled two Japanese university professors from El Aaiun towards Casablanca.
The two Japanese researchers, Akihisa Matsuno, a professor at Osaka University, and his wife Kiyoko Furusawa, a professor at Christian Women's University in Tokyo, arrived Thursday night in occupied El Aaiun, at the invitation of ASVDH to find out about the human rights situation in Western Sahara, and hold meetings with Saharawi associations and media.

Uruguay Senate reaffirms its support to Saharawi cause

Montevideo (Uruguay), Dec 28, 2017 (SPS) - The Senate of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay unanimously adopted a resolution expressing support to the cause of the Saharawi people.
The speech that was delivered by the deputy Frente Amplio, Martínez Huelmo, made a review of the history of the conflict, highlighting the resolutions of international law, which endorse the aspirations of the Saharawi people.

Sahrawi southern populations Community urged to step up struggle at all levels

Agüeinit  (Liberated Sahrawi territories)- Sahrawi Prime Minister Abdelkader Taleb Omar has urged, Wednesday in Aghouinit, Sahrawi southern populations Community to "step up struggle and support Polisario Front."
The Sahrawi premier called on the participants in the meeting of southern populations Community "to step up struggle at all levels," recalling that "Sahrawis in the occupied territories need support, solidarity and protection."

Balearic Islands Friendship Association with Saharawi People organizes a rally in support of Sahrawi political prisoners and disappeared

Palma de Mallorca, Dec 26, 2017 (SPS) - The Association of Friends of the Saharawi People in the Balearic Islands organized a rally yesterday in support of the Saharawi political prisoners and disappeared with the participation of dozens of solidarity citizens and representatives of different Local institutions
The rally demanded the release of all Saharawi political prisoners and disappeared, among them the group of 15 young Sahrawi kidnapped and disappeared on December 25, 2005 in the occupied city of El Aaiún.

liberated City of Agüeinit hosts the 23rd Edition of the Martir El Uali Military Competition

SADR Army committed to its constitutional missions

Doukj (Liberated Territories), 25 December 2017 (SPS) - Defence Minister of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) Abdallah Lahbib Balal has  reaffirmed the commitment of Saharawi People's Liberation Army to its constitutional missions, consisting mainly in the protection of the freed territories, the fight against organized crime and the establishment of national sovereignty over all SADR's territory, saying all units are ready to fulfil their missions.

Mothers of 15 Saharawi abductees demand revealing whereabouts of their sons

El-Aaiun (Occupied Territories), 25 December 2017 (SPS) - The mother of the 15 Saharawi abductees has demanded the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mr. Raad Al-Hussein, to intervene with the Moroccan authorities in order to reveal the whereabouts of their unaccounted-for sons since 25 December 2005.
In a letter to Mr. Raad Al-Hussein on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of their abduction, the mothers of the abductees regretted the lack of any reaction by the office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights to the disappearance of their son 12 years ago.

Merida: Charity Gala for raising awareness about situation of Sahrawi refugees

Mérida (Spain), December 24, 2017 (SPS) - Mérida Sahara Association on December 18 organized "Arte bajo la Jaima" Gala (Art under the Tent).
The gala, which was attended by 350 people, allowed raising awareness about the situation the Sahrawi people, particularly in the refugee camps.
The Gala also addressed the violation of human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara by Morocco.

Sahrawi political detainee Mohammed al-Ayoubi sentenced to 20 years imprisonment

Salé (Rabat) 23 December 2017 (SPS) - The Court of Appeal in the Moroccan city of Salé on Wednesday issued a 20-year prison sentence against Sahrawi political prisoner Mohamed al-Ayoubi.
The Moroccan state had been forced to release him temporarily on 13 December 2011 because of his deteriorating health, which resulted recently in acute kidney failure and follow-up treatment for 3 days a week in a clinic for blood filtration in the occupied city of El-Aaiun.

54th ANC Conference: President of Republic welcomes historic decisions in favour of Sahrawi struggle

The meeting, which was attended by members of the Friendship Association with the Saharawi people, addressed the national cause, the situation in the Saharawi refugee camps and the issues of human rights in the Occupied Territories and the Saharawi political prisoners imprisoned by Morocco.

MOSCOW, dec 19, 2017 (SPS) -, the representative of Frente POLISARIO TO Russia, Mr. Ali Salem Mohammed Fadhil was received Tuesday at the Russian Duma headquarters (Lower Chamber of the Federal Council of the Russian Federation - Parliament) by Vladimir Kharchenko, of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations between the Frente POLISARIO and the Russian Communist Party in the light of recent developments, both at the level of the two countries or at the continental and international levels.
