Nouakchott, 20/12/2007 (SPS) "Moroccan secret services strongly present in Mauritania'', the Mauritanian online website, "Convergence Républicaine pour la Démocratie en Mauritanie" (CRIDEM), indicated on December the 16th.
"During the last time we remarked the recrudescence of personalities (journalists, businessmen, retired military, civil society’s actors…) who are leading a blind campaign of support to the Moroccan regime", the website indicated in its page of "free expression".
"The means put under their disposition are huge like the images of the last operation stage by Aljazeera Channel that talks about so-called «Saharawi tribes» that demonstrate in the Mauritanian territory to condemn POLISARIO and support «Morocco the victim».
The so-called demonstration of "Saharawi tribes" that has supposedly been organised in Agjijimat, in the Mauritanian territory in favour of the Moroccan expansionist thesis "turned to be a gathering of 10 persons easily identified".
According to the same source, which names five Mauritanian persons and identify the five others as drivers of rented cars, who were supposed to carry a group of individuals to "a wedding» (according to the information given by the cars’ owners) and not «a fictional scene» in favour of Morocco".
Chocked by this "masquerade", in which "well known Mauritanian citizens denied their nationality pretending to be what they are not", the website asked the Mauritanian authorities to be careful no to allow the use of the Mauritanian territory in fights between the neighbours in which “we pretend to be neutral".(SPS)
