Nigerian Labour Congress reiterates its support for struggle of Saharawi people

Abuja, July 4, 2009 (SPS) - Vice President of the Nigerian Labour Congress, Mrs. Ladi lliya, reiterated the solidarity of its organization with the cause of the Saharawi people and the role played by the Saharawi trade union movement to defend the Workers’ rights under Moroccan occupation at the continental and international forums, according to sources close to the SADR embassy in Abuja.

Question of Western Sahara: subject of seminar in Italian Senate

Shahid Alhafed, July 4, 2009 (SPS) - A seminar on the question of Western Sahara was held Thursday at the headquarters of the Italian Senate on the initiative of the Italian Association for Human Rights (CISP), the Western Sahara Section, in collaboration with the Parliamentary Friends of the Saharawi People in Italy, according to a source of the Polisario Front Representation in Italy.

Two German deputies call for peaceful and mutually acceptable solution to Sahrawi conflict

Berlin, July 4, 2009 (SPS) - Deputies at Bundestag (German Parliament), Groneberg and Christoph Straesser called Thursday on the United Nations to find a "peaceful and mutually acceptable solution to the Western Sahara conflict" between the Polisario Front and Morocco for more than three decades, during a meeting with the representative of the Polisario Front to Germany, Jamal Zakari.

18 years of cease-fire are more than sufficient, says PM

Algiers, July 2, 2009 (SPS) Prime Minister of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) Abdelkader Taleb Omar declared Wednesday in Algiers that 18 years of cease fire without reaching a solution to the Sahrawi issue are "more than sufficient," urging the United Nations to more "steadfastness" about the violations of such decision.
