Bir Lehlu (liberated territories),
18/04/2007 (SPS) The President of the Republic, Mohamed Abdelaziz,
called on the UN’s Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, to protect the
Saharawi defenceless civilians in the occupied territories of the
Western Sahara from the Moroccan repression.
In a letter he addressed to the UN’s Secretary General, Mr.
Abdelaziz expressed "vivid concerns in front of the inertly of the
international community that does not dare taking concrete actions
with a view to protect the Saharawi civilians" or "take position in
favour of the prompt lifting of the Medias and security blockage,
which is increasing in the Western Sahara".
The Head of the State also drew the attention of Mr. Ban Ki-moon on
the plight of the mothers of the 15 Saharawi young disappeareds, who
are repressed by the Moroccan authorities only because they
peacefully demand to know the truth about the fate of their sons. (SPS)
