27/03/2007 (SPS) The President of the Republic, Mohamed Abdelaziz,
sent a letter of congratulations to the President of the Mauritanian
Military Council for Justice and Democracy (MCJD), Colonel Ely Ould
Mohamed Val, on the occasion of the success of the presidential
elections in Mauritania.
"With great pleasure I address you, and through you to the brother
Mauritanian people, on behalf of the Saharawi people and government
and in my personal name, our vivid and sincere congratulations for
the success of the election process that constituted the last stage
in the transition managed under your leadership by the Military
Council for Justice and Democracy, in Mauritania", the Head of the
State underlined in his letter, of which SPS received a copy.
He also congratulated the President of the MCJD for the fulfilment
of this role and for he respect of the engagement, and at the same
time congratulated the Mauritanian people for having succeeded the
democratic process. (SPS)
