Chahid El Hafed, 18/02/2007 (SPS) Tifariti will hold, in
February the 26th and 27th, an international conference of
solidarity with the Saharawi people, as well as a conference of the
twined cities with the Saharawi municipalities in addition to a
super marathon in margin of the celebrations of the 31st
anniversary of the Saharawi Republic, Prime Minister, Abdelkader
Taleb Oumar, declared to the SPS.
"Through these highly symbolic acts that will take place in the
liberated territories of the Saharawi Republic, we want to give
proof that we have here a people, a liberated territory and a
government that materialise the very essence of a State as well as a
wide international support to this State", the Saharawi Minister
stressed.

twill also be an occasion to show that the Saharawi struggle "is not
taking place only from the exile but also from the liberated
territories and from the territories still under Moroccan occupation
through a peaceful uprising that took place since May 2005", he
underlined.
The Head of the Saharawi government indicated that he is expecting
the participation of "800 guests" from Europe, Latino America,
Africa, representative of governments, political parties,
parliamentarians and Medias.
He further indicated that the strong participation of the Saharawis
in the different acts that will take place for two days in Tifariti,
is also "a strong message on the determination" of the Saharawi
people to "pursue the national struggle of liberation until the
recovery of sovereignty on the entire national territory", he added.
The 7th edition of the "Sahara Marathon", will take place in margin
o the celebrations in two phases. The first (41 Kms) will take place
in February the 25th in the Saharawi refugee camps while the super
marathon (160 Kms) will be organised in the region beaten Bir Lehlu
and Tifariti in February the 26th and 27th, according to the
