London, 13/02/2007 (SPS) The Saharawi human rights activist,
Ali Salem Tamek, started a visit to the United Kingdom on the
invitation of the Parliamentarians of the British House of Commons.
Mr. Tamek will meet with Parliamentarians, representatives of Trade
unions and human rights organisations and associations of support to
the Saharawi people.
During his sojourn in the UK, which will continue until the 23rd of
February, the Saharawi activist will also be received at the level
of the British of Foreign Affairs, in the seat the Trade Union
Congress, and the Mayoralties of London, Saharawi sources indicated.
The visit of the Saharawi militants will be an opportunity to
"denounce the repressive practices of the Moroccan authorities of
occupation in the occupied territories of the Western Sahara,
especially the savage repression against the Saharawi human rights
activists and militants of Polisario Front. (SPS)
