London, 13/02/2007 (SPS) The Saharawi human rights activist, Ali Salem Tamek, started a visit to the United Kingdom on the invitation of the Parliamentarians of the British House of Commons.

Mr. Tamek will meet with Parliamentarians, representatives of Trade unions and human rights organisations and associations of support to the Saharawi people.

During his sojourn in the UK, which will continue until the 23rd of February, the Saharawi activist will also be received at the level of the British of Foreign Affairs, in the seat the Trade Union Congress, and the Mayoralties of London, Saharawi sources indicated.

The visit of the Saharawi militants will be an opportunity to "denounce the repressive practices of the Moroccan authorities of occupation in the occupied territories of the Western Sahara, especially the savage repression against the Saharawi human rights activists and militants of Polisario Front.
